The Life and Spirituality of St. Francis of Assisi: A Journey Together
St. Francis of Assisi is known by many as the patron saint of animals, and the founder of the Franciscan Order.
His spiritual and simplistic way of living inspired the current pope of the Roman Catholic Church to choose the papal name of Francis in honour of St. Francis of Assisi.
The spirituality of Assisi, Italy where St. Francis lived, prayed and wrote his spiritual books is a place many Christians visit in search of spiritual contemplation.
In this Live ZOOM lecture, theologian Mary Catherine O’Reilly-Gindhart will take you on a journey to Assisi, Italy and examine the spiritual life and home of St. Francis. She will offer her insights on her own pilgrimage to Assisi and discuss the spirituality of St. Francis and his commitment to a simplistic life surrounded by the love of God
