I spent the first few weeks of lockdown in the comfiest loungewear; as indulgent as that was (and it’s still my go to on Sundays) I am really enjoying thinking about my Summer fashion edit. I don’t know when we’ll next be able to have a barbecue with friends, a garden party with my parents or a holiday abroad but I’m planning my sunny outfits in just the same as as I normally would and if it means I’m extra prepared, great. So I wanted to talk about my summer wardrobe.
Walmart Fashion have a really great summer clothing edit which has everything you need for the incoming sunny months, even if you’re just playing in a paddling pool in the garden. I am really drawn to floral dresses with delicate puff sleeves and sweetheart necklines so since the good weather came back I’ve been spending time in the garden in this blue daisy print dress which also comes in green. To smarten it up, you can’t beat some classic tie up espadrilles like these navy ones, which go with everything and when we do head to our first party or event, I’ll be taking this beaded crossbody bag.
My 2020 summer wardrobe is going to be all about floaty maxi dresses, chic rattan accessories and dainty prints. It’s our first full summer here so I’m mixing Californian style with English countryside comfort…and I know exactly where I’ll be doing all my shopping. What’s in your summer fashion edit?
What I’m Wearing: Square neck mini dress in Peri Ditsy (similar here) and Moss Ditsy, Espadrille wedges and Bag all by Walmart.
