The Boston Celtics fell short in the 2022 NBA Finals, losing to Golden State in six games, but they look like the team to beat in 2022-23. In the offseason, Boston added Malcolm Brogdon and Danilo Gallinari, who will provide depth, size and scoring. On paper, the Celtics are scarier than ever.
Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, of course, form a dynamic pair for Celtics, but some question whether they are good enough to lead Boston to a title.
“I think we really took those next steps last season,” Tatum recently told NBC Sports Boston. “And we’ll be the first to tell you that we got more to do. More to accomplish. And we’re eager to do so … Despite all the people that said that we couldn’t play together, we always believed that we could.”
Last month the Celtics, per The Athletic, included Brown in a massive trade offer to the Nets for Kevin Durant.
