‘Good Samaritan’ is sexually assaulted after waking up sleeping man on a park bench as she feared he was unconscious

A Good Samaritan woman was assaulted by a man who she tried to rouse awake after finding him sleeping on a park bench, fearing that he may be unconscious.
The woman’s concern for the man’s wellbeing led her to approach him lying on the bench in Vale Park in Aylesbury.
As he awoke, the man took advantage of her kindness by dragging to her a nearby tree to pin her down and touch her inappropriately.
Police attended the scene where the shocking incident took place at around 8.20pm on Monday.
A brave member of the public had intervened before the man ran off towards the High Street in the direction of Tring Road roundabout.
Detectives are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen the man fitting the descripting, as depicted by the e-fit, who was was wearing a black leather jacket and a black beanie hat at the time of the assault

Police are now on the hunt for a man who is described as Asian or Arabic, 40-years-old, over 6ft tall, of medium build and with a trimmed, black beard.
Detectives are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen the man fitting the descripting, as depicted by the e-fit, who was was wearing a black leather jacket and a black beanie hat at the time of the assault.
Detective Sergeant Simon Nelmes, based at Aylesbury police station, said: ‘I understand this sexual assault may cause some concern but please be assured we are investigating it as a priority.
‘I am appealing for anyone who recognises the individual depicted by this e-fit to please come forward’.
