There are almost 900 of these statues on Rapa Nui.

This photo of some of the many moai found on Rapa Nui, or Easter Island was shared with us by Solo Travel Society member Brad, following his trip to Chile. “The island is beautiful and although only about half the island is accessible by road, you can see just about everything over the course of two days including a decent number of the 800+ moai spread over the island.”

For beautiful scenery, fascinating culture and history, and great hiking, STS member Liz has a recommendation for you in Solo Travel Destination: Easter Island, Chile.
